Brief: This hand-drawn garden map was created as a corporate gift for a private bed and breakfast in Maine. The project was commissioned by the property’s garden planner, who provided detailed guidance on the layout, local flora and fauna, and the spirit of the place.

The illustrated map translates the garden into a poetic, narrative landscape, blending botanical accuracy with storytelling. In addition to plants and pathways, the map features the owners and their pets, turning the garden into a lived-in, personal space rather than a purely technical plan.

Designed as both a functional and emotional object, the illustration celebrates the relationship between people, place, and nature — and offers a lasting, meaningful gift rooted in the identity of the property.
